The Existing Beechgrove Recreation Ground Pavilion
Sports have been played here for 150 years, and the existing pavilion has been in service since 1968. The recreation area has the potential to be a major asset to Moffat and the surrounding area with the setting to attract users and competitions from the South of Scotland and beyond, as these 2 pictures of the bowling and tennis areas illustrate.

As is evident, the size, nature and condition of the current premises serving the area is completely inadequate. The purpose of this page is to give visitors some examples of the restrictive nature of the building, the difficulty of providing equal access and the current condition of the building.
